Cost of a General Contractors License/Business Insurance?
Over the last couple of years, I have turned a small handyman operation into a slightly larger business doing home remodeling. The projects I am now contracting for will necessitate hiring a few employees on an ongoing basis, and I am certain that I will need to be licensed to engage in most of the tasks I will be doing, as well as obtaining Insurance. Does anyone have any idea how much money I will be looking at in order to legitamize my business, and what exactly will I need to acquire? Thanks in advance for your help!

This is the kind of question that can’t be answered on this forum. What state, what location? Every Insurance policy costs differently based on many factors. If you’re going legitimate, invest in an attorney–you’ll be glad you did.
