student health insurance kansas
kansas health Insurance woes?

needed: health Insurance

deductible: max: $1,500
co-pays: max: $30
i’m a full-time student, 19, unemployed, female
i’m on two medications which health insurances dislike: lexapro-depression/anxiety and lamictal – mood stablizer (i have to get off one to get Insurance, need to be on both for another 6-mo)

anyone have any advice? anyone ex-health Insurance workers i could talk to? i lose my coverage this week, and get hospitalized and refill and psychiatrists a lot every year. need Insurance. help me, please! i don’t want to loose my med, and go back to my depressed, old suicidal self.

You’ll have to get it through your job.

NO one is going to give you private coverage, with psychiatric and seizure medications, with a history of whatever and hospitalizations on a yearly basis. If they did, you couldn’t afford the premiums, and they’d exclude all the mental health stuff.

I take that back – you can probably buy a limited benefit plan, with no prescriptions, and no mental health benefits. But that isn’t what you want, I think.

I’d suggest you can’t afford to be an unemployed full time student any more.
