When should I start school?
I am supposed to start my online program at Penn State on August 24 (or something like that) but I’m going on vacation for a week in the first week of September and won’t have any time to “go to class”. So I thought of starting in January but that leaves me not in school for a while. Plus my health Insurance won’t be valid come September unless I am a full time student, which I won’t be if I start in January, and this is my last year under this health care provider. I thought about taking some classes at my old community college during that time but I’m not sure. What to do?????
Please note that this vacation was planned a while ago when I didn’t know where (and when) i was going to school. I am not putting my vacation before my schooling in any way.
I’m sure vacation will be great, but you have to get your priorities in order. If you are really considering vacation over school, you need to be honest with yourself about why. Nervous? Just not that into school? If you have any kind of scholarship, then you need to cancel the vacation. If not, then you need to figure out what is important to you. Most people who put off starting college keep finding reasons to put off college (i.e. they never start). It isn’t for everyone, but you really need to get some kind of post-high school training to make yourself marketable in the real world. And you definitely need health Insurance. So, be completely honest with yourself about the reason for hesitation and plot your course from there. Good luck
