How much does it cost to remove a tonsil?
Hi i am 18 years old and i need to have my tonsil taken out. i am currently a college student and i have two questions..
1) how long is the recovery time i read that it takes a week or two and i have finals in 3 weeks so should i just push this off until my winter break
2) how much does the operation cost… i do not have any Insurance but i think my university (rutgers u.) gave me a basic Insurance plan where i am covered up to $5000. i will have to go to the health center and find out but just incase they will not cover me how much do you think the operation will be?
Be careful, as this is one of the most over-prescibed operations that doesn’t need to be done a lot of the time, if not most of the time.
Get another opinion, and preferably from a trustworthy doctor who is either a naturopath or that you know leans away from cutting things out on whim.
