United Health Care. Can my parents see what services I use?
I’m a college student and a dependent on my father’s Insurance (UHC) that he gets through work. I am interested in making an office visit for a prescription for birth control pills, and I do not want my parents to find out. I’m curious to know whether or not there’s any sort of a statement from the Insurance Company that is mailed that would tell my parents that I had an office visit or used prescription services.
Absolutely. It’s called an “Explanation of Benefits” and the primary insured receives one for every service. Why don’t you want your parents to know? Have you tried Planned Parenthood?
